Who We Are
Status Not Quo (SNQ) was formed in 2008 by three local friends/family, who previously had a long history of working well together. We have our main headquarters in Santa Clarita, California and a second full office in Portland, Oregon.
Even though SNQ began in 2008 – during the auspicious “Great Recession”, SNQ was successful from day one. We built the company on an absolute dedication to loving what we do and loving the people with whom we work – both clients and employees. That provided an environment where innovation, hard work, and brilliance thrive. We are an extremely lean company – relying on efficiency, best practices, and the highest caliber of individuals. Why are we unique:

Building and maintaining our culture at SNQ is extremely important. We put culture first and this begins at hiring. We primarily hire for fit first. Of course, the individuals must be qualified; however, whether an individual not only fits, but adds to our culture is much more subjective, and harder to control later. We have a culture of diversity in all things – origin, beliefs, hobbies, personalities, stage in life, and more. However, while there is no formula or perfect approach, at SNQ it works because of our focus is on each other and active engagement in crafting our culture. We are fiercely protective about the quality of our culture. This has led to our motto being that SNQ “is the best place you have ever worked, and the place you’ll never want to leave”. This culture is based on so many factors, but hiring sets the foundation. But we are also an extremely altruistic culture – we are passionate about philanthropy and giving back – at a company level, and at an individual level. We provide nearly unlimited time and opportunity for volunteering and service. We give money and time regularly to key causes for which we are passionate and heavily support our community. This creates a culture where the focus is outward.
